How to Use the Pizza Calculator

  1. Enter how many people you're feeding.
  2. Pick the appetite level and pizza size.
  3. Get the exact number of pizzas to order — no leftovers stress, no one going hungry.

How Many Pizzas Per Person?

The classic rule of thumb is 3 slices per adult and about 2 per child, though hungry crowds, game days and teenagers can push that to 4–5. A standard large pizza has 8–10 slices, so a simple way to estimate is: multiply guests by slices-per-person, then divide by slices-per-pizza and round up.

This calculator does that math for you and even suggests ordering a spare for big groups so you never run short. Mixing sizes and a few different toppings keeps everyone happy — and cold pizza the next morning is never a bad outcome.

Pizza Planning FAQ

At about 3 slices each, 10 adults eat ~30 slices — roughly 4 medium (8-slice) or 3 large (10-slice) pizzas.
Usually 8–10 slices for a large and 12 for an extra-large, though it varies by pizzeria. Pick the matching size in the tool.
For big groups it's smart to add one spare pizza — appetites vary and leftovers keep well. The tool nudges you up for large parties.
